Eric Lin

Eric Lin has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and security. Eric recently joined Ports of Auckland in 2022 as an Operations Security Controller, where they are responsible for monitoring and responding to cyber incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing endpoint security, and implementing various security technologies. Prior to this role, Eric worked at Port of Auckland in 2021 as an Operation Support Controller, where they monitored and coordinated incident responses for the company's systems. Before that, they worked at DBSchenker Australia Pty Ltd. from 2017 to 2021 as a System Administrator, where they were involved in projects related to Azure and Sharepoint migration, as well as server administration. Eric also has prior experience as a System Administrator and IT support supervisor at DB Schenker, where they worked on various projects and provided support to users. Eric started their career as an IT Support Assistant at Domino's Pizza Enterprises in 2006 and later worked as an IT Assistant at Selwyn College in 2007. Eric Lin has a diverse education history. In 1998 to 2003, they attended Guangdong University of Finance and studied International Finance. In 2004 to 2005, they obtained a Diploma in Tourism Management from Unitec | Te Pūkenga. Following this, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in IT from the same institution. In 2013, Eric attended Auckland University of Technology and completed a Certificate in Computer Network (CCNA training program) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Additionally, they obtained the Computing Network Certificate from Auckland University of Technology in February 2013. Eric holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification, which they obtained in July 2020 from Microsoft.
