Ida Franiak-Pietryga

Ida Franiak-Pietryga PhD is a Senior Research Scientist at Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. since February 2022 and an Associate Professor at the Medical University of Lodz's Genetics Department since December 2014. Ida has led significant projects, including research on apoptosis mechanisms in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, resulting in multiple publications. Experience includes roles as Assistant at Copernicus Memorial Hospital in Lodz, Poland, and Senior Research Associate at the University of California San Diego's Department of Ophthalmology, with a focus on cell biology, molecular biology, and gene therapy. Research expertise incorporates dendrimer-based therapies for leukemia and oncological diseases. Ida holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Lodz and a Higher Doctorate in Clinical Genetics, with additional education from the University of California, Berkeley and Medical University of Lodz.
