Jayson Uppal

Jayson Uppal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and sectors. Most recently, they are employed as the Sr. Director, Products & Markets at PosiGen since August 2023. Prior to that, they worked at National Grid in various roles including Manager, Solar and Storage Product Growth, Strategy Lead, Distributed Energy, Product Manager, Distributed Energy, and Lead Analyst, Leadership Development Program. In 2016, Jayson had an internship at Comcast as the Energy Strategy & Analysis MBA Intern. Jayson also served as a Climate Corps Fellow at the Shedd Aquarium for the Environmental Defense Fund in 2015. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Meister Consultants Group as a Consultant specializing in renewable energy policy and public sector sustainability strategies. Jayson co-founded and led the engineering effort at Emergent Energy Group from 2008 to 2011, earning recognition as a Top Young Entrepreneur in 2009 by BusinessWeek. Additionally, they had internships at Volpe Center in 2007 as an Environmental Engineering Intern and at Nova Technology Inc. in 2005 as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Overall, Jayson Uppal has demonstrated experience in product management, strategy, renewable energy, and environmental engineering across their career.

Jayson Uppal attended Tufts University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they pursued dual degrees at Yale School of Management and Yale School of the Environment. Jayson earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale School of Management and a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) from Yale School of the Environment.
