Michael Marchetti

Michael Marchetti is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading distributed teams and driving technical strategy. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead at Posit PBC since 2018, Michael has played a pivotal role in enhancing Posit Connect, facilitating collaboration for data scientists. Prior experience includes managing software engineers at Anaconda, Inc. during the development of Anaconda Enterprise 5, and overseeing complex hardware/software projects at Xerox in various managerial roles. Michael's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from founding 229 Software, LLC and co-founding Asar Corporation. Academically, Michael holds a BS and MS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Rochester, respectively.
