Molly Whittaker has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Molly started their career as an Assistant Women's Rugby Coach at the Department of Kinesiology in 2003. During their time there, they also worked as an Instructor, teaching various Kinesiology courses and redesigning the class and grading system. In 2011, Molly worked as a Business Analyst at Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth before transitioning to become a Women's Rugby Assistant Coach at the San Francisco Fog Rugby Football Club. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Yoga Instructor at Strong Body Yoga. Molly then joined Positive Coaching Alliance in 2013, taking on roles such as a Certified Trainer, Trainer Coordinator, and Volunteer. Molly also served as the President of the San Francisco Athletic League from 2016 to 2018. Molly's experience in education continued as they became the Physical Education Teacher and Coach at Hillbrook School and the Middle School Fitness and Wellness Teacher as well as the Athletic Director at Children's Day School. Molly joined The Harvey School in 2018 as an Admissions Associate and Head Coach before transitioning to King School as a Coach. Molly's most recent role is as a Program Manager at Positive Coaching Alliance.
Molly Whittaker started their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Colgate University, which they attended from 1998 to 2002. Molly then pursued a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Administration and Coaching at James Madison University from 2002 to 2004.
In addition to their formal education, Molly has also earned several certifications. In 2013, they obtained a Double-Goal Coach Certification from the Positive Coaching Alliance. In the same year, they also received an ACE Personal Training Certification from the American Council on Exercise. Prior to that, in 2012, Molly acquired a 200-Hour Yoga Teaching Certification from Yoga Alliance (Purusha Yoga Studio). In 2011, they obtained a California Basic Education Skills Test Certification from the State of California.
Furthermore, Molly has pursued certifications related to coaching and sports. In 2008, they earned a certification in "Introducing Rugby and Developing Rugby Skills" from USA Rugby. In 2002, they completed the NFHS Coaches Education Program, Coaching Principles Course offered by the American Sport Education Program.
Lastly, Molly maintains their CPR/AED Certification, which they obtained from the American Red Cross in 2016.
