Jim Sproch

Jim Sproch is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in architecture, innovation, and engineering management. Currently serving as the Chief Architect at Positron AI since May 2023, Sproch has previously contributed as a member of the Office of the CTO at Groq, focusing on advanced technologies for machine learning and artificial intelligence from May 2019 to May 2023. An independent consultant from June 2017 to April 2019, Sproch provided expertise to executives at various startups. Prior to that, Sproch held a senior director role at Synopsys, Inc., overseeing EDA software development and strategic planning for over two decades, and served as an engineering manager at Standard Microsystems Corporation, where VLSI chip design was a primary responsibility. Sproch earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982.
