Austin Walker has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 2008, they worked as a North American Editor for OneLastContinue.com and also as a Trademark Researcher for CT Corsearch. In 2009, they were a Contributing Writer and Podcast Host for Sleeper Hit. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the California Institute of the Arts. In 2011, they became a Teaching Assistant at the University of Western Ontario. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Research Associate at Western University. In 2015, they joined CBS Interactive as an Editor. From 2016 to 2019, they held the position of Editor In Chief at Waypoint and also worked as the Host of Waypoint Radio. In 2021, they became IP Director at Possibility Space.

Austin Walker attended Hofstra University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Austin later enrolled at the California Institute of the Arts from 2010 to 2011, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Aesthetics and Politics. Finally, they pursued a PhD in Media Studies at Western University from 2011 to 2015, although their degree remains unfinished.
