Ajay Patel

Ajay Patel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ajay began their career as a Research Executive at RBA Research in 2004 and later worked as a Project Manager at Unisys from 2005 to 2016. During their time at Unisys, they managed multiple IT projects and collaborated closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals. From 2006 to 2016, Ajay also worked as a Fitness Instructor at Virgin Active.

In 2017, Ajay joined Post Office Ltd as an IT Project Manager, overseeing the delivery of projects related to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance and the creation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for IT services. Ajay then progressed to the role of Head of Change Delivery Team, where they managed a team responsible for processing IT supplier quotes and driving service process improvements.

From 2019 to 2020, Ajay served as an IT Programme Manager, responsible for delivering the End User Computing (EUC) strategy for POL Admin and Branch business domains. Ajay also held the position of IT Contracts & Service Lead, managing the commercial aspects of insourcing a third-party supplier into Post Office and leading contract extensions and variations for technology suppliers.

In 2021, Ajay became the Head of IT Enterprise Demand Management, where they developed and delivered group transformation roadmaps and ensured technology investments aligned with business objectives. Currently, as the Technology Enablement Director, Ajay plays a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with organizational objectives, driving innovation and efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions.

Throughout their career, Ajay has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Ajay is experienced in managing complex IT projects, driving transformation, and delivering technology solutions that are scalable, secure, and future-proof.

Ajay Patel completed their education at the University of Leeds, where they obtained an MSc in Management Consultancy from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management and Information Studies from the University of Lincoln from 1999 to 2002. In terms of additional certifications, Ajay obtained a Les Mills - Sprint Instructor certification from Les Mills UK (LMUK) in 2015. Ajay also obtained certifications in Les Mills - RPM AIM 1 & 2, Prince 2 \u2022 Practitioner, Les Mills - BodyPump Instructor, Les Mills - RPM Instructor, and Exercise to Music Qualification (Level 3) at various points in their career.
