Michaël Paquier

Michaël Paquier is a seasoned database engineer with extensive experience in PostgreSQL and open-source software development. Currently serving as a Senior Database Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) since September 2022, Michaël focuses on PostgreSQL-related projects. Since January 2009, Michaël has been an active member of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group, contributing as a hacker, contributor, blogger, and committer. Prior to AWS, Michaël worked at VMware from January 2013 to September 2022 in various engineering roles related to PostgreSQL, including staff engineer and senior member of technical staff. Michaël began professional endeavors at NTT Data Corporation as an expert from January 2009 to December 2012, emphasizing database performance and security. Additional experiences include consulting positions and internships at Astek Sud-Est, Hitachi Ltd, and CEMAGREF Bordeaux. Michaël holds a Master's degree in Computational Fluid Dynamics from ENSEEIHT, obtained in 2008.
