PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research
Alistair White is a Doctoral Researcher presently affiliated with both the Technical University of Munich and the PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since November and October 2021, respectively. Prior to their current roles, Alistair was a Doctoral Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin for a brief period in October 2021. Alistair has experience as a Data Scientist at Planetly from March 2020 to August 2021, and served as Associate Director in Equities Quantitative Trading at UBS from August 2015 to July 2018. Earlier roles include General Manager and Personnel Manager at Churchill Casino and UBS, respectively, as well as summer internships in eFX Quantitative Analytics at both State Street Global Markets and UBS. Alistair holds a Master of Natural Sciences in Physics and a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, completed between 2011 and 2015, after earning the Irish Leaving Certificate from Hamilton High School in 2011.
