Dr. Vera Heck is a Climate Risk Modeller at MSCI Inc. since June 2021 and has held a Guest Scientist position at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since November 2017. Dr. Heck also served as a Post-Doc at the same institute after completing doctoral studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2013 to 2017. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist role at The unbelievable Machine Company GmbH from February 2018 to May 2021 and a Guest Scientist position at the National Institute for Environmental Studies in September 2017. Dr. Heck conducted research at Aalto University from October 2016 to August 2017 and was a PhD student at the Potsdam Institute from September 2013 to September 2016. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Natural Sciences from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, a Master of Science in Hydro Science and Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The University of Bonn.
