Edna Johanna Molina Bacca

Edna Johanna Molina Bacca is a Junior Researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since October 2019, focusing on land-use projections and autonomous adaptation measures related to climate change. Prior experience includes roles as Research Staff at the University of Calgary, where contributions involved optimizing flocculation processes for tailings and data analysis of rheological parameters, as well as serving as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, where methodologies for intelligent microgrid networks were developed. Edna's research background includes internships at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Michigan State University, focusing on process optimization and reaction conditions in chemical engineering. Edna holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
