Brian Gerzeny

Brian Gerzeny has a strong background in engineering and project management. Brian began their career as a Fossil Plant Engineer at Centerior Energy in 1988 and later took on roles as a Distribution System Planning Engineer and System Protection Engineer. In 1999, they became an Engineering Manager at Danaher Corporation before moving on to R.E. Warner and Associates, Inc. as an Energy Practice Director/Senior Project Engineer. Gerzeny then joined Powell in 2005, where they held various management positions including Engineering Manager, Director of Project Management, General Manager, and Director of Business & Product Development. Throughout their career, Gerzeny demonstrated expertise in the energy sector and a strong focus on business and product development.

Brian Gerzeny earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ohio University between 1983 and 1987. Brian then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Cleveland State University from 1992 to 1995. In 2021, Brian enrolled in MIT Sloan Executive Education to further their knowledge in executive education. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Cost and Economics in Pricing Strategy" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2023.
