Power To Be
Charlotte Taylor, CFRE, is a Senior Corporate Relations Officer at Power To Be since July 2021. Prior to this role, Charlotte worked as a Fund Development Manager at Special Olympics BC from February 2014 to June 2021, where Charlotte focused on securing and growing financial support. Before that, Charlotte was a Community Fundraiser and PR Officer at Autism Initiatives Scotland from October 2010 to October 2013, where Charlotte developed a successful community fundraising program and increased organization awareness through PR opportunities. Charlotte has also worked as a Fundraising intern at Macmillan Cancer Support and as an English language teaching assistant at Inspection Academique de la Dordogne. Charlotte holds a MA Hons in French and European History from The University of Edinburgh.

Power To Be
Power To Be began with an idea: help people living with a disability or barrier to access nature. The idea grew into a community, connecting participants to adventures, and supporters to opportunities, collectively redefining our definition of ability. Based in Victoria and Vancouver, we are a non-profit organization that empowers people to explore their limitless abilities through inclusive adventures rooted in nature. We believe finances shouldn’t prevent anyone from accessing nature, and we work to remove cognitive, physical, and social barriers to the outdoors, while encouraging participants to explore who they are and what they are capable of, with the support of our staff, volunteers, and each other.
