Dr. Markus Wohnig

Dr. Markus Wohnig is an experienced professional in the field of battery manufacturing technology and operations engineering, currently serving as the Lead of Manufacturing Standards and Planning Quality at PowerCo since November 2023. Previously, Dr. Wohnig held the position of Vice President Operations Engineering at Skeleton Technologies from October 2022 to March 2023, and prior to that, worked as the Director of Battery Manufacturing Technology at Farasis Energy Europe GmbH, focusing on the transition from prototype to mass production of lithium-ion systems. Dr. Wohnig's extensive expertise includes roles at ABB as Head of Proposal and Manager of Electrification Development, at ThyssenKrupp as Head of Cell Assembly, and at Li-Tec Battery as Head of Process Development, specializing in battery cell and module manufacturing. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Technology from Technische Universität Dresden, complemented by a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Evonik Industries, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden.
