Matthias Folz

Matthias Folz is a seasoned professional in health, safety, and environmental management, currently serving as a Senior Expert HSE at PowerCo SE since July 2021. Folz has extensive experience in developing and implementing occupational safety and environmental management systems in compliance with ISO standards, particularly for battery cell factories in Germany and internationally. Previous roles include Head of Health and Safety at Northvolt Zwei GmbH & Co. KG, where Folz led the creation of a safety management system, and Head of HSE at MMEC Mannesmann GmbH, overseeing project and corporate HSE management. Folz's career also includes significant positions at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG as Business Unit HSE Manager and Project HSE Manager, and as HSE and Quality Manager at Ferrostaal AG. Folz holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Safety Engineering from Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
