Qiaochu Tang

Qiaochu Tang is an experienced professional in the field of battery technology and materials engineering, currently serving as Teamlead for Electrode Process at PowerCo SE since March 2023, along with a role as Senior Process Planning Expert for Electrode. Previously, Qiaochu held significant positions at FREYR Battery from August 2021 to March 2023, including Lead Engineer in Cell Design, where responsibilities included championing DFMEA for the company’s first product. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Dyson, where team management focused on high-energy cell components, and as a Research Associate at Newcastle University, contributing to machine learning applications in cell degradation studies. Earlier positions include a Materials Engineer at Murata and Sony, as well as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Medeli Electronics. Qiaochu obtained a PhD in Microelectronics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
