John Horn

John Horn is an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in developing analytic pipelines and ETL processes. John has worked at various companies, including PowerFlex, Platform Science, Nuvve Corp., and Viasat Inc. In these roles, John has demonstrated their expertise in data warehousing, analytics, and visualization. John has also worked as a Data Scientist at Renovate America and conducted research as a Research Analyst at the Center for Sustainable Energy. Additionally, John gained valuable experience as an Analyst Intern at USGS, where they conducted GIS and satellite imagery analysis. Prior to that, they worked as a Student Atmospheric Chemist at Thiemens Lab, conducting climate change research and analyzing atmospheric pollutants.

John Horn completed their B.S. in Biochemistry/Chemistry from UC San Diego in 2010. John then pursued a Master's Degree in Atmosphere and Energy from Stanford University from 2010 to 2012. Following that, they earned another Master's Degree in Earth System Science from UC Irvine in 2012-2013. In addition to their formal education, John also obtained several certifications in various data science and statistical analysis subjects from Coursera Course Certificates and Coursera Verified Certificates between 2014 and 2017.
