Miguel Rico

Miguel Rico has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Miguel is currently working at PowerFlex as a Senior Software Engineer, where they started in August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at PowerFlex from December 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining PowerFlex, Miguel worked at Cengage as a Software Engineer from June 2018 to December 2020. In this role, they were part of an agile team that built interactive content for K-12 learners using React.js, enzyme, chai, and Cypress for testing.

From January 2014 to June 2018, they worked at mySmartSimulations, Inc. as a Front-End Developer. Here, Miguel was responsible for front-end work in online courses and played a key role in converting traditional html courses into a single page app. Miguel also contributed to the conversion of Unity3D applications to 2D HTML + JavaScript versions and designed and implemented a new UI for the courses.

Prior to that, Miguel worked at WayForward Technologies as a Technical Artist from February 2011 to August 2013. In this role, they created environment assets of various art styles, rigging, and animating environment assets.

In 2008, Miguel worked at Tectru Corporation as a Graphic Designer, where they designed print media and web graphics. Miguel operated and maintained a Xerox iGen 3 Digital Press during their tenure.

Their career started in 2007 at Aroa Marketing, where they worked as a Technical Writer. In this role, Miguel was responsible for designing and writing instruction manuals for new products, including creating diagrams and step-by-step instructions.
