Product Management Director, Financial Planning & Analysis Solutions at Powerplan

Rick Fisher has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Rick has held various management positions in different companies.

From 2015 to present, Fisher has been the Product Management Director, Financial Planning & Analysis Solutions at PowerPlan, Inc. Rick leads the direction and development strategy for PowerPlan's planning software solutions and implements leading practices for software product management.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2020, Fisher was the Director, Utility Strategy at PowerPlan, Inc. Rick worked closely with asset-intensive companies to maximize value in asset management planning and regulatory business processes.

Before joining PowerPlan, Fisher worked at Southern California Edison. From 2013 to 2015, they held the position of Principal Manager, Finance, Accounting, Regulatory. In this role, they led teams responsible for accounting processes related to fixed assets and capital spending.

From 2011 to 2013, Fisher was the Principal Manager, Regulatory Analysis and Valuation Services at Southern California Edison. Rick led teams responsible for utility depreciation studies, forecasting, and valuation.

Fisher also worked as the Manager, Financial Reporting and Integration at Southern California Edison from 2010 to 2011. In this role, they developed and led a new team in support of corporate finance initiatives.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, Fisher worked as the Manager, Investor Relations at Edison International. Rick served as a company representative to institutional analysts and investors and created investor presentations and press releases.

Fisher started their career at Southern California Edison in 1999. Rick held various positions during their seven-year tenure, including Manager of Capital Recovery and Senior Analyst in Finance/Accounting. In these roles, they were responsible for fixed-asset accounting, depreciation, and regulatory cost recovery.

Throughout their career, Fisher has demonstrated expertise in financial planning, asset management, regulatory compliance, and product management.

Rick Fisher has a strong education background in business and finance. Rick obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business, with an emphasis in finance, leadership, and communication. This degree was earned between 2005 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a focus on finance and contract law, from 1996 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Rick Fisher has also obtained several certifications. In 2003, they became a Certified Depreciation Professional through the Society of Depreciation Professionals. In 2018, they obtained The IAM Certificate from The Institute of Asset Management. Most recently, in 2020, they received certification in Agile Software Development from LinkedIn.
