Batool Nekooie

Batool Nekooie has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Batool started their career at Mirant in 1994, where they worked in utility system planning, energy market analysis, and risk management for a significant period of time. From 2010 to 2016, they served as the Director of Energy Sciences at Comverge, overseeing the strategy, development, and operation of Virtual Peaking Capacity programs. At ABB, they worked as a Product Manager from 2016 to 2019. Currently, Batool Nekooie holds the position of Director of Analytics at PowerSecure, Inc., starting in 2020.

Batool Nekooie obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Optimization and Control from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Batool pursued their studies at the institute from 1990 to 1994.
