Josette Fitzgibbons

Josette Fitzgibbons is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the Manager of Neighborhood Business District Programs at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh since January 2022. Previously, Josette held the position of Neighborhood Business District Manager at the same authority from January 2008 to February 2022. Josette's career spans several key roles, including Principal Planner for the City of Pittsburgh Department of City Planning from 1996 to 2008, Executive Director of The Outdoor Classroom from 2004 to 2005, and Community Programs Manager at NeighborFair Pittsburgh Inc. from 1988 to 1996. Early career experience includes serving as Main Street Manager for Midland Development Corporation and a Planning Intern for the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon. Josette holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Political Science from Kent State University.
