Grégory Gelly has been working in the technology industry since 2003. Grégory began their career at Astrium as an R&D Engineer and an Engineer in Charge of Flight Control. In this role, they were responsible for the technical development of flight control algorithms for future ballistic missiles, as well as the development of optimization tools based on genetic algorithms to train the flight control of capsules or landers. Grégory also developed and prototyped guidance algorithms for space vehicles, such as re-entry capsules, Martian landers, and interplanetary probes. In 2012, they joined the Ministry of Defense as an Expert Machine Learning Engineer. In 2017, they joined Blade-Shadow as a Principal Software Engineer in Charge of Streaming. In 2020, they were appointed Head of Data Science and AI at PowerZ.
Grégory Gelly received their Diplôme d'ingénieur in Mecanique des fluides from École Polytechnique between 1999 and 2003. Grégory then obtained their Diplôme d'ingénieur in Espace, option Techniques et sous-systèmes des Véhicules Spatiaux from ISAE-SUPAERO in 2002 and 2003. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Informatique from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between 2014 and 2017.
