Dilan Urban Perera

Dilan Urban Perera has a diverse work experience in finance and management roles. In 2011, they started their career at Unilever as a Management Trainee and gained experience in various departments. As a Category Finance Manager, they handled the Foods and Beverages category, later expanding their portfolio to include two additional categories. In 2015, they joined General Mills as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst for the South East Asia cluster, responsible for financial planning and analysis. Dilan Urban then became a Group/Regional Senior Financial Analyst, overseeing P&L management for multiple regions. Dilan also played a key role in leading a global finance transformation project in Asia and Latin America. In 2019, they co-founded The Urban Spice Shop, a CPG brand, where they served as the CEO. The brand was launched in Singapore and gained traction in both retail and foodservice channels. Currently, in 2023, Dilan is working at PPI Beauty as a Supply Chain Finance Manager.

Dilan Urban Perera completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Statistics with Computer Science at the University of Colombo from 2007 to 2011. In 2009, they pursued Accounting and Finance studies at ACCA until 2013. Dilan Urban then obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2014. Prior to these qualifications, Dilan was a Passed Finalist in Management Accounting at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants from 2006 to 2008. Their education history also includes attendance at S.Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia in 2006.
