Chad C.

Chad C. has over 18 years of experience in various roles related to information and cyber security. Chad began their career in the United States Air Force, where they provided secure communication services for high-profile individuals and managed network services for military and government leaders. Chad then transitioned to the private sector, working as an IT and Information Security Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they focused on network design, defense, and risk management. Chad later moved to GCI Inc., where they served as an IT Security and Business Operations Manager, overseeing all aspects of information security and incident response. Following this, Chad joined Eli Lilly and Company as an Information Security Architect, responsible for ensuring security solutions aligned with business requirements. Chad then joined the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), initially as the Senior Manager of Information Security and later as the Director of Security Operations and Threat Intelligence and Senior Director of Cyber and Physical Security. In these roles, Chad contributed to the protection of critical infrastructure and the delivery of reliable energy to millions of people. Their responsibilities included managing security teams, developing cyber security capabilities, and overseeing threat intelligence and incident response. Most recently, Chad joined PPL Corporation as the Director of Enterprise Security Architecture and Threat Intelligence, where they continue to leverage their expertise in protecting and securing organizational assets.

Chad C. holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Michigan, obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University from 1997 to 2002. In terms of additional certifications, Chad obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in January 2015. Chad also obtained the Security+ and Network+ certifications from CompTIA in 2006.
