Lado Kurdgelashvili

Lado Kurdgelashvili is a Senior Energy Procurement Specialist at PPL Corporation since January 2023. Previously, Lado served as the Director at WebSolarEnergy from July 2018 to January 2023, focusing on techno-economic analysis of distributed and microgrid systems globally, optimizing these systems for cost, resilience, and greenhouse gas emissions. Lado's academic background includes a position as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware from September 2001 to June 2018, where instruction covered engineering economic analysis and sustainable energy policy, alongside supervising over 20 research projects. Additionally, Lado held roles as a Policy Fellow and Research Associate, contributing to studies on solar energy technologies and developing PV Planner© software for assessing photovoltaic systems. Lado earned a PhD in Energy and Environmental Policy and two MS degrees in Renewable Energy and Environmental Sciences and Policy.
