Thomas Murphy

Thomas Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Thomas started their career at Takeda Oncology in 2006, where they worked as an Accounts Payable Coordinator. During their tenure, they implemented new procedures for invoice tracking, contributed to the development of SOC controls, and assisted in preparing company books for a sale.

In 2012, Thomas joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Tax Senior Associate. In this role, they reviewed various federal tax forms, managed and trained a team of associates, and served as an early adopter and trainer for new database and K-1 generation software.

In 2016, Thomas transitioned to Public Consulting Group as a Tax Manager. Here, they oversaw the timely and accurate filings of federal and state taxes for a large number of individuals and organizations, managed a team of employees, and ensured the accurate filing of W-2s and 1099s.

Currently, Thomas is working at Public Partnerships | PPL as a Senior Accounting Manager. Thomas is responsible for managing employees, overseeing the organization's treasury function, and handling a substantial volume of annual transactions.

Throughout their career, Thomas has consistently exhibited strong leadership and management skills, as well as a commitment to accuracy and timeliness in financial processes.

Thomas Murphy completed their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing at Hofstra University in 2006. Thomas then pursued a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Science in Accounting at Suffolk University from 2010 to 2012. Thomas also holds additional certifications including Scrum Master Certified (SMC), obtained in March 2019, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
