Joanne Swales

Joanne Swales is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in internal and marketing communications. Currently serving as the Senior People Communications Manager at PPL since November 2023, Joanne previously held the position of Senior Internal Communications Manager, Global at BT from May 2022 to November 2023. Prior to that, Joanne worked as a Marketing Manager at Central Pharma and held multiple roles at Network Rail, including Senior HR Internal Communications Manager and Communications Manager for Group Business Services. Joanne's career began in marketing roles at Sysmex UK, Wolseley, and Casella Measurement. Academically, Joanne holds several qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and CIPR, culminating in a Professional Diploma in Internal Communications and a Professional Diploma in Marketing.
