Anne Simmons

Anne Simmons has a diverse work experience in the fields of accounting and auditing. Anne is currently serving as the Director of Accounting and External Reporting at GEHA Health, where they are responsible for overseeing financial matters for the organization. Prior to this, they worked at FORVIS as the Director of Audit, where they gained extensive experience in public accounting and served as an engagement executive on various audits. Anne has also worked at BKD CPAs & Advisors, starting as an Audit Intern and progressing to roles such as Audit Senior, Audit Manager, and Senior Manager Audit. Throughout their time at BKD CPAs & Advisors, they performed financial statement audits and reviews for insurance companies, not-for-profits, and other organizations, provided training and guidance to staff members, and communicated with executive members of their clients. Additionally, Anne has previous experience as a Fund Accountant 3 Intern at State Street.

Anne Simmons earned a Master's of Accounting degree in Audit from the University of Kansas in 2009. Anne previously completed a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the same university in 2008. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Anne attended Parsons High School. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from both the State of Missouri and the State of Kansas in 2010.
