María Rico del Valle

María Rico del Valle has extensive work experience in the legal field. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at Lucania Gestión, where they held various roles including Responsible of Funds and Big Tickets, Responsible of SMEs - Legal Area, and Responsible of Oposiciones Department. María'sresponsibilities included leading legal teams, managing procedures and due diligence processes, and creating and implementing strategies for debt recovery. From 2015 to 2018, María worked at Encore Capital Group as Responsible of Legal Area and Responsible of Legal Operations. In these roles, they led multidisciplinary legal teams, optimized processes, and managed talent. Since 2018, María has been serving as the Head of Legal at PRA Group, where they lead a team of more than 22 people, focuses on process optimization, and drives digital transformation initiatives. Additionally, María is a member of WLW | Women in a Legal World since 2020.

María Rico del Valle has a diverse education history. María first obtained a degree in Law from the Universidad de Salamanca in 2008. After that, they pursued further education at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they obtained a second degree in Law in 2009. Later, in 2015, María enrolled in the IESE Business School and completed their Executive MBA. In 2020, they attended the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and earned a diploma in Legal Tech and Digital Transformation. María'smost recent educational endeavor took place in 2022 at Thomson Reuters España, where they became a certified Legal Project Practitioner specializing in LPM: Legal Project Management.
