Wes Read has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Wes began their career as an Associate Accountant at Brigham Young University School of Music, where they handled accounting responsibilities and improved workflow processes. Wes then worked at Ernst & Young, where they served as a Financial Audit and Information Security Professional, identifying financial statement risk and protecting IT assets against external and internal threats. Wes later joined Moss Adams Wealth Advisors LLC as a Financial Planner & Investment Advisor, providing detailed financial plans for high-net-worth families and closely held business owners. Wes also played a key role in Symmetric Wealth Management, LLC as a Partner, before founding their own company, PracticeCFO, in 2013. PracticeCFO offers comprehensive financial services to practice owners, including CPA services, practice financial consulting, personal financial planning, and investment services. Currently, Wes is the CEO/Founder of Practice Orbit, a modern online marketplace platform for dental practice transitions.

Wes Read CPA, CFP® obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University in the years 2000 to 2003. Wes further pursued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Science degree in Accounting in the years 2004 to 2005.
