Giangi Sacco

Dr. Gian Franco (aka Giangi) Sacco is Praesidium’s Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. His main responsibilities are to oversee all the technical aspects of the technology spanning from hardware to software and to push the limit of the technology to explore new groundbreaking applications.

Giangi holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in theoretical physics and he worked for over 15 years at the NASA center Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). At JPL he was intimately involved in architecting and developing cloud-based Science Data Systems (SDS) and processing and analysis tools for Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) and Atmospheric Radar. For the past 10 years, he worked on several applications that apply Deep Learning to Radar imagery from detecting land deformation to identifying icebergs.
