Col Raj Shekher began their career in 1987 as an Army Officer in the Indian Army, where they served for over three decades until 2020. During their time in the Indian Army, Col Sharma gained extensive experience and expertise in military operations and leadership.

In 2002, Col Sharma had the opportunity to serve as a Military Observer in the United Nations Peacekeeping mission for a year. This allowed him to contribute their skills and knowledge on an international level, further expanding their professional capabilities.

After retiring from the Indian Army in 2020, Col Sharma took up a role as a Veteran, utilizing their extensive experience and skills attained during their military career. Subsequently, they joined Prateek Group as the Vice President (Admin, HR & Facility Management) in the same year.

Col Raj Shekher started their educational journey in 1983 by enrolling in Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they pursued a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Col Raj Shekher successfully graduated from this program in 1987.

After several years, Col Raj Shekher Sharma furthered their knowledge by attending Berhampur University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Military Science. Col Raj Shekher studied at Berhampur University from 1995 to 1996.

In 2000, Col Raj Shekher Sharma pursued a postgraduate degree in Defence & Strategic Studies at the University of Madras. Col Raj Shekher completed this program successfully in 2001.
