Hye-Ran Lee

Hye-Ran Lee is an accomplished scientist specializing in plant genetics and precision biotechnology. Currently serving as a Scientist II in Core Technology at Precision BioSciences, Inc. since November 2022, Hye-Ran is responsible for producing proprietary ARCUS meganucleases. Previously, Hye-Ran held positions at Elo Life Systems from June 2018 to June 2022, including Team Leader for Synthetic Biology-BUILD, leading efforts in targeted gene editing and production of homing endonucleases. Hye-Ran's background includes significant roles at Dow AgroSciences and Chromatin, Inc., where expertise was applied in genetic engineering and molecular analyses. Education includes a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Ewha Womans University, and a Bachelor of Science in Science Education from the same institution.
