Matthew B. Mackenzie has a diverse work experience that spans different industries and roles. Matthew B. started their career as a Teacher's Assistant at McGill University, where they led discussion-based classes, worked with students to improve their written communication skills, and graded assignments. Matthew B. then worked as a Lab Analyst at Eastman Chemical Company, where they prepared and tested samples to ensure product validation and customer specifications. Matthew later transitioned into the software engineering field, starting as a Software Engineer Co-op at Archiact. In this role, they developed virtual reality prototypes for games using C# and Unity, and also led the way in prototyping for the HTC Vive. Matthew B. continued working at Archiact as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of Marvel's Dimension of Heroes for iOS and Android devices, and collaborating with designers on gameplay mechanics. Matthew's most recent role is as a Software Engineer at Precision OS Technology, where they craft VR surgery simulations designed to train young surgeons. Matthew B. works with Unreal Engine 4 and targets the Oculus Quest/Quest 2 platform. Matthew B. Mackenzie received their Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Clemson University, which they attended from 2006 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in English Literature at McGill University, starting in 2011 and completing it in 2013. Later, from 2014 to 2017, Matthew attended The University of British Columbia, where they obtained another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Computer Science.
