Tom Walde

Tom Walde has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tom most recently served as the Head of Development for the Automotive sector at Precitec - Laser Material Processing starting from April 2020. Prior to that, they held various positions at Adval Tech, including Head of Technology and Innovation from January 2018 to March 2020, Manager of Engineering Steering Systems LS+ from February 2015 to December 2018, and Head of Technology Development from January 2008 to January 2015. Before joining Adval Tech, Tom worked as a Computation Engineer at Plansee - starke Metalle. from July 2005 to December 2007. Tom started their career as a Scientific Employee at Fraunhofer-Institut für Werkstoffmechanik IWM from January 2002 to June 2005.

Tom Walde earned a Diplom in Physics from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in 2001. Tom went on to complete a Diploma thesis at the University of Twente from 2000 to 2001. From 2002 to 2004, they attended the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and obtained a Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2011, they pursued an Intensivkurs BWL (Business Administration) at the Institut für Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Forschung und Weiterbildung GmbH for one year.
