Yasser Abdelrahman

Yasser Abdelrahman is a highly experienced scientist specializing in microbiology and molecular sciences, with a Ph.D. from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist I at Predicine since October 2021, Yasser has developed innovative protocols for gDNA and RNA extraction, significantly improving RNA integrity. Prior roles include Scientist 1 at Ontera, where Yasser created a multiplex PCR assay for COVID-19 and influenza detection, and Senior Research Associate at Oregon Health & Science University, focusing on murine model development. Additional experience includes postdoctoral work and teaching at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, as well as work as a Graduate Intern at MEMPHIS VA MEDICAL CENTER, contributing to viral vector research and enzyme purification. Educational background includes a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and a Master's in Medical Microbiology from Cairo University.
