Alex Martinovic has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering. In 1997, they began their career as a Software Programmer for Petplan Insurance Ltd in the UK. Alex then worked as a Software Engineer for MJC2 Ltd in the UK from 1998 to 1999. From 1999 to 2006, they were a Senior Software Engineer for Application Networks Inc., where they worked on the JRisk framework. In 2006, they were acquired by Reuters, where they worked as a Lead Software Engineer. In 2008, they joined FlyteComm Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, developing real-time situational awareness solutions. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer for Visa, and from 2014 to present, they have been a Principal Software Engineer and Director for PredictSpring Inc., leading the Cloud Platform team and developing their mobile e-commerce platform.
Alex Martinovic began their educational journey in 1986 at Latymer Upper School, where they studied Math, Further Math, Physics and Chemistry, and obtained an A-Level. In 1993, they continued their studies at Imperial College London, where they obtained an MSc in Physics. In 1998, they returned to Imperial College London to obtain an MSc in Computing, which they completed in 1999.
