Jonathan Jickling

Jon Jickling is a highly experienced professional in the fields of sustainability and natural resource management. Currently serving as Senior Director of the Assurance Division at Preferred by Nature since October 2018, Jon leads initiatives focused on donor-funded sustainability and sustainable sourcing practices. Previously, Jon held multiple roles at Rainforest Alliance from 1995 to 2018, including Director of Corporate Assurance and Technical Director of Assurance Services, overseeing certification programs across various sectors. Jon's extensive background includes managing substantial projects for organizations like Catholic Relief Services and the Pan American Development Foundation, as well as initiating forestry development projects while serving as a Forestry Extension Agent with the Peace Corps. Jon holds an MS in Forest Economics from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Forest Management from the University of Michigan.
