Raymond D. Muller

Raymond (“Ray”) D. Muller joined Preferred Mutual in February 2018 as Vice President, Chief Actuary and Data Analytics. In this role, Ray was

responsible for actuarial pricing, rate indications, predictive modeling, and using data analytics to support and drive corporate strategies. In January 2019, Ray was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary where he continues to use actuarial trends to drive strategy.

Ray’s experience spans more than 30 years in actuarial science including over 10 years of experience in predictive analytics where he has used predictive models for pricing and to strengthen fraud detection.

Ray earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Niagara University in New York. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
