Orhun Parmaksız

Orhun Parmaksız is a skilled software engineer and package maintainer with extensive experience in Rust development and open-source contributions. Currently a Package Maintainer for Arch Linux since January 2021, Orhun is actively involved in improving the Rust ecosystem by managing packages and collaborating with upstream sources. In February 2023, Orhun became a Project Leader and Maintainer for Ratatui, an open-source Rust library for terminal user interfaces, following the successful fork of the inactive tui-rs project. Orhun is also the creator and maintainer of git-cliff, a customizable changelog generator, and provides Rust consulting for Prefix.dev, focusing on the rattler-build project. With a strong background in game development infrastructure at Spicy Lobster Studio and experience as a Senior Rust Backend Engineer at sMiles, Orhun has contributed to various open-source projects, including the Shuttle platform. Orhun's educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering and ongoing Master's studies in Business Administration and Management at Ankara University.
