Nick Picone

Nick Picone has held various roles throughout their work experience. Nick currently works at Preformed Line Products as the Director - Substation Markets, where they are responsible for directing the company's global growth strategy in the substation market. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Market Manager - Substation at Preformed Line Products, where they focused on developing and growing the company's product offerings and services for the substation market globally. Nick also has experience in acquisitions, global business development, customer service, and international operations management. Before joining Preformed Line Products, they held roles at Swagelok, Textron Automotive Corp, Willis Industries / Malco Incorporated, and Saturn, where they gained experience in pricing analysis, quality management, manufacturing engineering, and engineering and quality management.

Nick Picone obtained their MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they earned their MSE in Manufacturing Systems from Kettering University from 1991 to 1993. Nick also holds a BSE in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University, which they completed from 1986 to 1991. In 2019 to 2020, they obtained the IM&A International Mergers & Acquisitions Expert (IM&A) degree from the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA), focusing on M&A process, strategy, deal types, hostile takeovers, due diligence, valuation, and post-merger integration. Additionally, they have received various certifications, including Strategic Planning: Case Studies, Creating Your Personal Brand, How to Be Promotable, How to Make Strategic Thinking a Habit, Rock Your LinkedIn Profile, and The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn. Nick also holds certifications in Coaching for Improved Performance, Leader Level 1, and Trusted Advisor Level 1 from Dale Carnegie Training, obtained in 2019.
