Manuel Rolland

Manuel Rolland has a significant amount of work experience in the software engineering field. Manuel is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Preligens. Prior to this role, they worked at Aldebaran - Softbank Group as the Director of Software Engineering for eight years. In this position, they led a team of 50+ engineers in developing applications for humanoid robots. Manuel also created the Studio team, consisting of 20 engineers, tasked with developing applications for Aldebaran robots. Before their directorial roles, they worked as a Software Developer, where they created various behaviors and demos for the NAO robot.

In addition to their roles at Aldebaran, Manuel had earlier experiences. Manuel worked as an intern at SoftBank Robotics Europe, where they developed a prototype for the NAO robot. Manuel also interned at AnimatLab - LIP6 as an AI Developer and at Wanted Technologies as a Big Data Developer.

Manuel Rolland holds an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from EPITA: Ecole d'Ingénieurs en Informatique (2006-2009). Manuel also obtained a Master's Degree in Traitement Automatique du Langage from Université Paris Nanterre (2008-2009) and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (2004-2006). Additionally, Manuel Rolland has certifications in Creative Thinking: Techniques and Tools from Imperial College London and Innovation Management from Coursera.
