Paul Smith

Paul Smith has over 17 years of work experience in the finance industry. Paul is currently working as the Head of Investment Services - Fixed Income at Premier Miton Investors since October 2020. Prior to this, they were with Merian Global Investors from August 2015 to October 2020, where they served as the Derivatives Operations Manager and was responsible for building and managing the Derivatives Operations team. Paul also implemented MTF OTC clearing for Rates and Credit. From June 2010 to August 2015, they worked at Arrowgrass Capital Partners LLP as a Senior Operations Analyst, supporting trading desks and training new team members. Before that, they were a Settlement Analyst at HSBC Holdings plc. from August 2008 to June 2010, where they handled settlement and reconciliation for various markets. Paul started their career as a Settlement Clerk at Mizuho in 2003 and 2004, where their responsibilities included confirming trades and updating static data.

Paul Smith attended Gaynes School from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained 10 GCSEs. Paul then attended Havering Sixth Form College from 2003 to 2005, earning 4 A Levels. Lastly, they studied at the University of Hertfordshire from 2005 to 2008, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance.
