Steve Wyatt has over 20 years of experience in the commercial heat treating industry. Steve began his career in commercial heat treating in 1997 when he was providing finance and accounting consulting services to Atmosphere Annealing, a provider of heat treating, coating and cutting services to a variety of manufacturing industries including automotive, heavy truck, energy and agriculture. In 2003, Steve joined Atmosphere Annealing on a full-time basis in the role of Chief Financial Officer. In 2008, Atmosphere Annealing was acquired by Gerdau, a global manufacturer of long and special steel products, at which time Atmosphere Annealing became a part of Gerdau Special Steel North America’s Downstream Operations. In 2014, Steve was named Director of Downstream Operations with responsibility for Gerdau’s six heat treating plants. In 2017, Gerdau carved out five of its six heat treating plants and sold them to Premier Thermal in a deal put together by Z Capital Partners, a leading, privately held global investment firm with approximately $2.8 billion of assets under management; Steve serves as Premier Thermal’s President & CEO. Prior to entering the commercial heat treating industry, Steve provided Finance, Accounting and M&A consulting services to a variety of different businesses in industries such as construction supplies distribution, packaging products, inspection systems and real estate. Steve has a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a CMA.
