Peggy Brashear RPh, CPHIMS, CPM has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and pharmacy informatics. Peggy Brashear is currently the Associate Vice President of Pharmacy Informatics & Integration at Premise Health, where they oversee the integration of pharmacy systems and informatics. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Pharmacy Programs and Informatics at Premise Health.

Before joining Premise Health, Peggy worked as a Clinical Informatics and Automation Pharmacy Manager and Consultant, where they specialized in team management, clinical pharmacy informatics, patient safety, workflow analysis, and lean practices.

Peggy Brashear also worked as a Clinical Analyst at UK HealthCare, a Senior Consultant at Blue Horseshoe Network Inc and Leidos, and held various roles at KentuckyOne Health/University of Louisville Hospital, including Project Lead for a successful Cerner Medication Process/Pharmnet implementation. Peggy Brashear led the design and implementation of an integrated EMR system for medication processes, which was regarded as one of the most successful implementation projects.

Moreover, Peggy served as the Manager of Pharmacy Informatics Operations and Automation at KentuckyOne/University of Louisville Hospital, where they were responsible for project management, integration of medication automation with operations and systems, and overseeing informatics projects.

Earlier in their career, Peggy worked as the Regional Director of Operations at Pharmacy Systems, Inc.

Peggy Brashear holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky, and they pursued pre-pharmacy studies at Western Kentucky University. In addition to their educational background, Peggy has achieved certifications in ASHP Pharmacy Informatics from ASHP in 2019, Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems from HIMSS in 2011, and Certified Project Manager from Project Management Leadership Group, Inc. (PMLG) in 2010.
