Lead Product Manager, Dispatching & Routing

Product · Full-time · Mexico City, Mexico

Job description

Premise is an on-demand insights company that leverages a global marketplace to connect businesses and NGOs with local smartphone users in over 140 countries. Used by some of the leading organizations in the world, Premise's solutions are revolutionizing the data collection market, making it faster, more scalable, and more dynamic to understand our world through the eyes of those who live there. We are backed by some of the top global venture capital investors as we take on legacy market research agencies with a new way of thinking about the world – removing the middleman between those seeking to understand our world and those living there.

With Premise, organizations win. And communities win, too. People can earn more from their opinions and discoveries. You will be joining Premise at an incredibly exciting time, and will be focused on supporting Premise’s fastest growing vertical to help drive continuous growth for company.

Position Summary: Premise is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growing product team in a leadership role. As a lead PM, you will play a key role in shaping the direction and success of our In-Store execution product to help leading global brands increase their sales and market share.

Your primary goal will be to build out the features and logic regarding how tasks are assigned to and then completed by contributors, and you will execute this by leveraging your prior knowledge of scheduling, routing, and dispatching products in a gig economy context.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the future state vision for how Premise should transform its current marketplace to more effectively assign tasks to Contributors (or allow Contributors to self-assign tasks) to ensure optimal completion rate and increase productivity

  • Define and execute the product roadmap to automate all dispatching and routing logic for Premise retail tasks, with the goal of optimizing the routes taken by contributors to increase their productivity and # of stores visited per day

  • Identify ways to reduce and minimize non-productive transportation time between stores visited by contributors by building optimized routing logic

  • Evaluate current state tooling utilized to build the schedule and routing for private networks of contributors (who are hired directly through 3rd parties), and determine opportunities for incremental improvement of the current process while also building out the future state vision that will replace the current process

  • Build out features and tooling to create dynamic pricing with the objective of improving unit economics, while ensuring task assignment and completion rate are not impacted

  • Own the KPI for task assignment rate, price per task completed, and time between store (idle time)

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or equivalent at a high growth tech company with a track record of driving business impact through the product you have managed

  • Deep experience in online-to-offline marketplace and gig economy business models, with a specific focus on building features for the supply-side of a marketplace

  • Geospatial design knowledge for productivity

  • Expertise in task dispatching algorithms and routing logic, as well as managing scheduling for large-scale workforces in a gig economy context

  • Experience building an impactful product from the ground up. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to lay the product foundations for Premise’s fastest growing product offering, and you should have prior experience building from 0 to 1

  • Demonstrated experience working with design, data science, operations, and engineering teams to define, scope, and prioritize product features as well as measure results after rolling out new features

  • A willingness and desire to get your hands dirty spending time with customers in the field. We are looking for PMs who live and breathe their product, and validate all assumptions with user testing and spending significant time speaking to and getting feedback from their users on an ongoing basis.

  • Strong data preparation, testing, synthesis, and analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to translate findings into cogent narrative and ruthless prioritization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that scale from technical to non-technical, and the ability to communicate effectively with both company leadership and the end users in the field

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full fluency in both English and Spanish, experience in LATAM

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams

  • Working knowledge of implementing the use of Computer Vision in a retail environment

What You Get:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Equity
  • Comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage for you and your family
  • Generous PTO + paid holidays
  • Travel experience to priority markets
