Alex Gilchrist

Alex Gilchrist has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Union Academic Representative at Leeds University Union, where they oversaw the coordination of student representatives and improved communication between university administration levels. In 2009, they became a Project Manager at the Transnational Crisis Project. They then worked as a Consultant for Coffey International Development, where they advised the communications team on DFID's Peacebuilding Support program in Pakistan. In 2011, they founded and served as a Director of Raabta Consultants, empowering communities in Pakistan by connecting them with social services. They also founded Rapport Research & Communications Ltd., a global consultancy focused on evidence-based development programs. In 2018, they joined Easy Solar as the Director of Business and Residential Power Solutions, responsible for establishing the department and leading sales for UPS and solar systems. They also worked as a Knowledge Management Specialist at UNICEF, supporting strategic planning and COVID-19 response efforts in Sierra Leone. More recently, they held leadership positions at Native as the Senior Director of Global Delivery and Premise as the Director of Customer Integration and later as the Director of Market Performance System.

Alex Gilchrist obtained an MA degree in Postcolonial Literary and Cultural Studies from the Institute for Postcolonial and Colonial Studies at the University of Leeds in the academic year 2007-2008.
