Ian Miller

Robotics Engineer at PRENAV

Ian Miller has held various engineering roles since 2011. Ian began their career as an Engineering Intern at TIMET in 2011 and 2012, where they performed a trade study and created analysis tables from meter data to extrapolate for future water needs of the plant after expansion. Ian also designed and drafted designs to increase efficiency of vibratory feeder of the electron beam furnaces and titanium chip washline. In 2013, they moved to Anadigics as a Broadband Engineer where they characterized and presented results for CATV IC designs, and designed and built a digital attenuator system. In 2014, they joined Structural Services Inc. as an Electrical Systems Engineer. In 2015, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Lehigh University. In 2016, they joined LimnTech Scientific Inc. as a Systems Engineer, where they designed and implemented a user friendly camera calibration routine using OpenCV. In 2018, they moved to PRENAV as a Robotics Engineer, where they were one of 3 engineers on the flight team building an autonomous system comprised of a quadrotor and base station for localization, used for precise inspection of large infrastructure. Ian handled hardware development, calibration, testing, and operations, and implemented flight planning tools using ImGui and Eigen. Currently, they are working as a Controls Engineer | Firmware at Stealth Startup since 2020.

Ian Miller obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lehigh University between 2010 and 2014. Ian then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lehigh University, which they completed in 2015. In June 2020, they obtained a Part 107 sUAS Licence from the Federal Aviation Administration.
