Aurélien Pallain is a French business executive who currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Preply. Aurélien has over a decade of experience in the technology and e-commerce industries, having served in various leadership roles at Alibaba Group, Lazada, Rocket Internet SE, Orange, Kraft Foods, NextradioTV, and Association LE VALDOCCO.

Pallain began their career as an assistant to the president at AlloCine.com in 2006. Aurélien then worked as a consultant for Kraft Foods in 2009 before joining the team at NextradioTV as Marketing Development & Advertising Manager.

In 2011, Pallain joined Orange as Strategy & Innovation Manager. Aurélien then moved to Rocket Internet SE in 2012, where they served as VP Marketing - Entrepreneur in Residence until 2015. In 2012, they also took on the role of Chief Growth Officer at Lazada, a position they held until 2021.

Most recently, Pallain served as EVP Marketing & Monetization at Alibaba Group from 2018 to 2021. In their current role as Chief Strategy Officer at Preply, Pallain is responsible for leading the company's strategic planning and execution.

After Aurélien Pallain graduated from the Lycée Jean-Baptiste Say with a Baccalauréat in Sciences with a specialisation in Mathematics, they attended the Ipesup where they completed an intensive preparatory course for competitive entrance into France leading schools of management. Aurélien then went on to study at the ESSEC Business School where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by an MBA in General Management.

They work with Keiran Dodd - VP People & Talent, Filippo Gallignani - CMO, and Josh Crossick - CPO. Their manager is Kirill Bigai, CEO and co-founder.
